All linky, no thinky

(Credit for the title goes to Says Uncle)

Between work and preparation for our Eastern European wander-venture there has not been time for really writing good commentary. I have collected a few links to articles from the web that have really made me think over the last week.

Tremendous respect to Marko for "Why the Gun is Civilization"

Arthur Herman - "How to win in Iraq -- and how to lose"

General Barry McCaffrey (Ret) - "After Action Report - VISIT IRAQ AND KUWAIT 9-16 March 2007"

A brief interview, "Shooting for the Truth", with Clayton Cramer regarding his new book, "Armed America"
---

With luck (luck is the most important ingredient for getting where and when you want to go on military transport), as I said, with luck we'll be arriving in Germany in a few days and hopping a train to Prague. No concrete plans other than some wandering and a lot of rest and relaxation. We want to visit Poland as well, but after that we're more likely to just hop on a train and go where it takes us.

Suggestions for places to go, places to stay, and things to see that should not be missed will be greatly appreciated.

Poland is so amazing. I only visited Krakow so thats the only place I can venture advice about in Poland. Visit the main market so some great jewelery and other interesting items.
have fun in Europe
